What is the CHRYSALIS™ Peel System?
A next-generation professional chemical peel that delivers visible transformation with no visible peeling. It is referred to as a system because it consists of two multi-acid formulas, ICONIQ™ and NEOTHESIS™, that can be used separately or together--in various established combinations--to target specific skin concerns.
What type of peel is the CHRYSALIS™ Peel?
The CHRYSALIS™ Peel is true, medium-depth peel. It is a 37% four acid blend, consisting of Mandelic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, and Phytic Acid. Other active ingredients include: Hyaluronic Acids LMW/MMW, Succinic Acid, Ferulic Acid, Phytosphingosine, and Hydrolized Glycosamingoglycans.
Who can order the CHRYSALIS™ Peel System?
Medically-supervised licensed aesthetic practitioners.
What makes CHRYSALIS™ different from traditional peels?
The CHRYSALIS™ Peel transforms skin via "micronized exfoliation." Traditional peels cause the outer layers to peel away in visible sheets or flakes, while the CHRYSALIS™ Peel is administered at a very low pH and simultaneously delivers anti-inflammatories, antimicrobials, and recovery support. This allows the peel to have a greater impact, but not as harsh of an experience or trauma to the skin, making it no downtime.
What is "micronized exfoliation"?
Micronized exfoliation describes the process of the skin shedding at the cellular level. The CHRYSALIS™ Peel doesn't cause visible flaking or peeling. Instead, it breaks down dead skin cells at a cellular level, causing them to slough off like "dust off a butterfly's wings" without any visible signs.
What is The CHRYSALIS™ Peel protocol?
The CHRYSALIS™ Peel is administered as a weekly series of 4 treatments.
What is The CHRYSALIS™ Peel post-care?
The CHRYSALIS™ Peel System includes two products that support the skin's recovery. The Q. Supreme Daily Moisturizer and the Q.Illume Daytime Hydrator. The Q.Supreme is a high performance moisturizer designed to restore balance, deeply hydrate, support the skin barrier, and enhance and prolong your clinical results. The Q.Illume is a medium weight emulsion for on-the-go, full face hydration that can be applied over makeup.
Does The CHRYSALIS™ Peel make the skin sun sensitive?
Direct sun exposure should be avoided 24 hours pre- and post-treatment. An SPF 30+ should be used throughout the treatment series and a hat is advised.
What is The CHRYSALIS™ Peel treatment experience?
The CHRYSALIS™ Peel is an extremely mild treatment experience, ranging from no sensation to a mild, warm tingling. The treatment takes a little over 20 minutes.
Can CHRYSALIS™ Peel be combined with other treatments?
Yes, it integrates seamlessly with microneedling, lasers, injectables, and other regenerative treatments
Why is it called The CHRYSALIS™ Peel?
A Chrysalis is the hardened casing that protects a caterpillar during its transformation into a butterfly. The CHRYSALIS™ Peel is named because of the skin transformation that takes place during treatment, unveiling a new beauty.
